Tan and Sunset Return Policy

At Tan and Sunset, we prioritize  your satisfaction and strive to provide high-quality products that you’ll love. For items that do not meet these return criteria, we will not process the return and will send them back to the shipping address on file. Please review our returns policy carefully:

General Return Policy

Eligibility for Return:

  • Store Credit Only: We do not offer refunds and exchanges. All returns are eligible for store credit only.

  • We do not offer direct exchanges. Please return the item and place a new order for your desired size or color using store credits

  • Timeframe: Items must be returned within 7 days of the delivery date.

  • New orders for a different size or style are subject to availability.

Conditions for Return:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with all tags and packaging intact.

  • Items must be free of any odors, stains, or damages.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Personalized Items: Custom or personalized items are not eligible for return.

  • Intimate Wear: Due to hygiene reasons, intimate wear (including swimwear and lingerie) cannot be returned.

  • All ON SALE purchases made are final sale and cannot be returned unless the wrong size or style was sent to you.

  • All accessories are final sale, no returns or exchanges.

Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

  • All gift cards are digital at the moment and come with a personalized code. Kindly protect your code as used gift cards codes cannot be replaced or refunded.

Lost Package

  • We work with third-party courier services to ensure all items are delivered timely without damages.

  • All lost or stolen items are the responsibility of the courier service

  • We do not offer cash back or store credits for lost or stolen items. 

In-Store Stockist and Retailer Purchases

  • Purchases made in-store or through authorized retailers are subject to the return policy of the respective store where the purchase was made.

  • Please refer to the store’s return policy for specific details regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.

  • Returns and exchanges for online purchases may also be subject to the retailer’s online return

  • policy, if applicable.

Special Sales Events

  • All items purchased during any online and physical sales and promotional periods are final and

  • cannot be returned, except in cases where the wrong size or style was received.

Order Cancellations

  • Orders can only be canceled before they have been dispatched, see more on Shipping Policy

International Orders

  • Duties and taxes may vary outside of Nigeria depending on the receiving country’s border laws.

  • Tan and Sunset will not be responsible for return expenses. Delivery costs for returned items are borne by the customer.

How to Return an Item

All items are properly inspected before shipping out. Pictorial evidence is taken by our team to ensure quality control and for a smooth delivery process. 

  1. Initiate a Return:

  • Contact our customer service team at tanandsunset@gmail.com to initiate your return.

  • Please provide your order number and reason for return as well as images for evidence if items are damaged.

  1. Return Authorization:

  • All returns are inspected and compared to pictorial evidence taken before shipping out.

  • Only items that meet our returns conditions will be approved.

  • Once your return request is approved, you will receive a Return Authorization (RA) number and instructions on how to send your item back.

  1. Shipping:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure your return is received.

  • Include the RA number inside the package and send it to the address provided in the return instructions.

Processing Returns

Inspection:

  • Upon receipt, returned items will be inspected to ensure they meet our return conditions.

  • Kindly allow 3-5 business days for the items to be received and inspected, followed by an additional 1-2 business days for processing.

Store Credit Issuance:

  • If your return is approved, you will receive an email with details of your store credit. The store credit will be applied to your Tan & Sunset account and can be used for future purchases.

Exchanges:

  • We do not offer direct exchanges. When your item is returned, the value is issued to you as store credits.

  • Place a new order for your desired size or color using your store credits.

  • New orders for a different size or style are subject to availability.

  • We understand that finding the right fit is important. Please refer to our Size Guide to help you choose the best size before making a purchase.

International Returns

Customs and Duties:

  • International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees associated with their return shipment.

Extended Return Timeframe:

  • For international orders, we offer an extended return window of 21 days from the delivery date to accommodate longer shipping times.
